Infection control is accomplished through a series of methods, including:

• Disinfection of surfaces and countertops
• Equipment sterilization before every use
• The use of disposable materials

Reusable equipment is always sterilized before use on each patient, including each of our dental hand pieces. To kill viruses and bacteria, we use a device referred to as an autoclave. An autoclave uses pressure, heat and steam to fight off disease.
